On the Water
What to wear
Polarized sunglasses are a must. Most days, shorts, t-shirts, and flip-flops work great — on cooler days, bring layers like long sleeves, pants, and sneakers.
What to bring
Don’t forget hats, sunscreen, lip balm, and plenty of water. Snacks and drinks are always a good idea. You’re welcome to bring a cooler (up to 48 quarts), but leave it in the car until we return — it’s for your fresh catch. If bringing alcohol, stick to cans or plastic (no glass).
Seasickness
Easier to prevent than cure. Keep meals light, get good rest, and consider motion sickness medication in advance if you’re prone to it.
Absolutely — what you catch is yours to keep! We’ll clean and fillet your fish dockside and provide storage bags. Just bring a cooler to take it home. Don’t want to cook it yourself? We can point you to great local spots that will prepare your catch for you.
Tips are never required but always appreciated. A standard gratuity in the charter fishing industry is 15–20% of the trip cost. If Captain Todd went above and beyond to put you on fish and make your day memorable, it goes a long way and means a lot.
